Futago Hime in Italy! — Posted on Sat, 21 Jan 2009 10:37:00 by Ming Yi Breaking news!! Italian fans, you just got your wish! Futago Hime has been licensed in Italy by Licensing Italia and started airing on the 19th of January, 2009, on the channel Italia 1! You can view Licensing Italia's properties page and this article for more information.
The series has been renamed Twin Princesses - Principesse Gemelle ("principesse gemelle" means "twin princesses" in Italian, so it's a reiteration of the title). The new theme song is done by Cristina D'Avena (remember "Magica Doremi"?). Check out the opening! Although the opening scenes uses in-show scenes, which don't make it particularly exciting, it has its own charm. I have no doubt that this show will be well-received in Italy. Hopefully Futago Hime will expand its franchise in Europe! It doesn't look like Germany could pass this show up.
