It was mostly our friend Miri that caused us to be interested in Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime in the first place. She wrote a review about it one day on her LiveJournal, and both of us, interested by her comments, decided to check it out for ourselves! You could say that all this started from her.
» Matthew Matthew ran his own one-man fansub group, Fushigiboshi * Subs, arguably the first fansub "group" that subbed the show in English. We watched his subtitled version, and the show sparked an immediate interest in us. During the run of Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime, Matthew often blogged about every episode in excruciating detail, and we have to admit, our Japanese isn't as advanced as his, so he clarified some concepts we were curious about. Also, he used to blog about news of Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime, where we were notified of the latest of what was happening.
