Princess Party! is relatively a young site, and there's not much of a significant history. As time goes by, we'll see what happens...
Milestones
Princess Party! was founded by Ming Yi, who started planning this site on July 1, 2005. In an MSN conversation, Amritam had told her she was accepted to create the Anime Fanlistings-listed fanlisting to Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime. Deciding that they should form a joint project, Amritam joined the party and the two girls merged their site ideas together.
A month later, the site was launched on Amritam's web server, ruby-eye.net, where construction was reaching its final stages. The site was finally open on November 26, 2005 (Thanksgiving in the US!). Since then, Princess Party! has remained one of the only informational databases on the Internet in English for fans and newbies to Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime.
Princess Party! took a hiatus months after Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime Gyu! began, around May of 2006. Reconstructing and reviving the site became a hassle as both Ming Yi and Amritam lost interest in Fushigiboshi no * Futago Hime (admit it, Gyu! is not particularly that thrilling). Throughout the year-long hiatus, the girls even lost the fanlisting. By nearly the end of 2007, the girls began picking up the site project and gave it a fresher look with more information than before!
Name
Princess Party! gained its name because of the cute alliteration and how the theme relates to parts of Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime, since every kingdom has a Princess Party where princesses of a certain kingdom can show off their talents and be the best princess on the Wonder Planet.
